Welcome to Banga Samaj, Udaipur

Udaipur is a best liked place of millions of peoples living or visiting from different parts of the world. This city is famous for its picturesque lakes and beautiful fountains.

In this beautiful city, Banga Samaj took birth in 1961. Only few lucky persons witnessed that great moment when celebration of "Durga Pooja" begins in "Chatterji Benglow" Shastri Cirlce Udaipur. Since then more than 50 celebrations we have seen and also experienced its pageant year by year.

As on date, Banga Samaj, Udaipur is a well known social organization in this region. But to provide such a famous identification to Banga Samaj we must salute those great personalities who created the ground and visualized the scene five decade ago.

Mr.(late) A.Bhattacharya, Dr.A.B.Roy, Artist (late) Roy, Mr.(late)A .C.Mitter, Dr.Ashok Mukherjee, Dr (late) Sudheer Banerjee and "Baro Maa" of Chatterjee Bunglow are the legend of Banga Samaj. We salute once again to all of them.

In the year 1973, the structure of Banga samaj, what we see today, was traced out by serious effort of Mr. (late) Sujeet Kundu, Mr. (late) A.K.Hazra, Mr . (late)S.K.Mukherjee, Mr.(late) A.K.Ghosh and the then executive members of the samaj. By the grace of God and tireless efforts of these iron men Banga Samaj got his own land where today's Banaga Bhawan and Kali Mandir is situated.

During this long journey of more than fifty years this samaj has been headed by various Presidents who made their best effort to push Banga Samaj further ahead. Sh.N.G.Das and Sh.M.K.Mukherjee will be known for their outstanding contribution to the samaj, besides Sh. A.K.Ghosh, Sh. A.K.Sen, Sh. K.G.Goswami, Sh. A.K.Bose, Mr.Tapas sen, Sh.(Late) Dulal Mukherjee.
